What is the Maker Movement?

Are you wondering what the maker movement is? I was too! I crafted a mini commercial skit to help inform you of what I learned!

Good for all ages! Five years old to an adult… there is something for everyone! Are you a person who feels defeated when given the opportunity to work with digital tools? Or maybe you just don’t have the resources to create and build projects… Or maybe you are just curious about what this whole Maker Movement is about… then this is for you!

Woodworking- did you say hammers, saws, nails, tools?

Sewing- how about fabric, stitching, needles and threads?

Electronics- aren’t those 3D printers pretty cool?

Did I catch your attention yet?

There’s something for everyone!

Are you tired of making the same design over and over again- maybe sewing the same skirt or creating the same play truck… digital tools make it possible to duplicate fast and at a low rate!

Get out and join your community! Who doesn’t like to watch videos, joke around, and hangout!

Everyone can have fun being a mathematician, scientist, designer, or maker! Just remember to be playful, have a growth mindset, and remain failure positive! We all make mistakes, but let’s learn from them through collaboration with others!
